The Solitary Hamadryas Baboon At sunset I was returning from a photographic safari at the Awash National Park, central Ethiopia, when I saw Hamdryas baboons sitting on high voltage power masts, using them as their nighttime refuge.

Day Break At dawn, the Geladas climb down from the cliffs, where they take their nighttime refuge, and spend the first few minutes of the day yawning and warming up. In this photo we can see a large male yawning and in the background, the beautiful landscape of the Simien mountains in Ethiopia.
